Blog. Sounds like a congealed bodily fluid that crusts over and irritates the skin. One of those things that keeps you awake when you're half asleep. Like that mosquito trapped in your room...or better yet, that fire fly that's trapped in your room. That happened to me last night. I was half asleep and planning what breakfast was going to be when the morning came, and through my eyelids came this dull flash of light. Opening my eyes, I found my room was dark and my thoughts turned once again to orange marmalade or honey and peanut butter on toast. Flash. Blink. Darkness. Flash. Blink....Darkness. It wasn't until I vowed not to close my eyes until I saw the bloody thing that was robbing me of my breakfast condiments did I spy the fire fly hovering above my books stashed above the wooden shelves perpendicular to my bed. Fireflies are strange insects. They're like radios. You only notice them when there's silence or darkness and their distraction grows the darker and more silent the situation until they're unable to be ignored.
It's funny how we are illuminated in day and hidden in night while fire flies are hidden in day and visible in night. I could tell that the firefly was mad that I didn't notice it during the day and it was trying to steal my attention as I lay in bed with only a line of pale light streaming onto my right arm from under the curtain. "Hey, you don't pay attention to me during the day." I said, and nodded off to sleep.
Blog.
On a random note...
