Blog. Sounds like a congealed bodily fluid that crusts over and irritates the skin. One of those things that keeps you awake when you're half asleep. Like that mosquito trapped in your room...or better yet, that fire fly that's trapped in your room. That happened to me last night. I was half asleep and planning what breakfast was going to be when the morning came, and through my eyelids came this dull flash of light. Opening my eyes, I found my room was dark and my thoughts turned once again to orange marmalade or honey and peanut butter on toast. Flash. Blink. Darkness. Flash. Blink....Darkness. It wasn't until I vowed not to close my eyes until I saw the bloody thing that was robbing me of my breakfast condiments did I spy the fire fly hovering above my books stashed above the wooden shelves perpendicular to my bed. Fireflies are strange insects. They're like radios. You only notice them when there's silence or darkness and their distraction grows the darker and more silent the situation until they're unable to be ignored.
It's funny how we are illuminated in day and hidden in night while fire flies are hidden in day and visible in night. I could tell that the firefly was mad that I didn't notice it during the day and it was trying to steal my attention as I lay in bed with only a line of pale light streaming onto my right arm from under the curtain. "Hey, you don't pay attention to me during the day." I said, and nodded off to sleep.
Blog.

amazing it seems like a short story rather than a blog!
hey jo, you are witty...i respect that immensley.
have you ever had nutella. best breakfast condiment ever.
Oh Jo! It wasn't a firefly; it was a giant orb of incandescent, radioactive light. It flashes, flashes, dives are your head and flashes again...
I love this image, you are so right about the sound of blog, it made me laugh at loud (in case you didn't hear). Great writing.
Love that quiz thingy. It was right too.
BTW Nutella rocks.
I loved your post, very deep, and very interesting. I must say though, I have never had a problem with fire flies, let alone seen one angry. But your description is so clear, that I'm now finding myself angry by there little attention grabbing activities at night :)
I thought the description of a blog is right on.
And fireflies need attention and love too, so don't be TOO harsh on them ;)
haha. there's some blog leaking out of my bandage. HAHAHAHA.
